(VOVworld) – A press conference was held in Can Tho City on Thursday to introduce an exhibition highlighting development in the Mekong River Delta over the past decade. The exhibition will take place late next month to mark the 37^th anniversary of Southern Liberation Day and Vietnam’s unification. The event will review the 10-year implementation of a Politburo Resolution on socio-economic development, security, and national defense in the Mekong Delta. Several conferences will also be held to introduce the region’s potential, and call for further investment. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh told reporters ‘The organizing board should outline a detailed plan and spur the ministries and agencies involved to ensure the success of the exhibition’.
