FDI enterprises call for production assistance

(VOVworld) – Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) companies have raised the issues of tax and labor as obstacles to expanding production and exports. The request was made on Tuesday in Hanoi at talks with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

To date, Vietnam has had investments from 100 countries and territories, of which Japan is the biggest investor with 28.6 billion USD, followed by Taiwan of China, Singapore, and South Korea. FDI enterprises play an important role in the Vietnam’s exports. In the processing industry alone, FDI enterprises earn 75% of Vietnam’s export turnover, the key goods being computers, electronic devices and components, cameras, camcorders, and machinery.
