First Friendship Meeting hosted by Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) -200 consuls general and representatives of consular delegations, international organizations, and foreign NGOs gathered at Friendship Meeting Program hosted by HCMC for the first time on Wednesday.

Addressing the event, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son said the Union's people-to-people diplomacy last year contributed to the high-level diplomatic activities of Party and State leaders and to promoting friendship and cooperation with other countries.
This year VUFO will organize a national conference on people-to-people diplomacy, the 5th international conference on international cooperation between Vietnam and foreign NGOs, and the 7th National Congress of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
On behalf of the Consul Delegations in Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore Consul General Kho Ngee Seng Roy said the diplomatic efforts Vietnam made last year have elevated its relationships with many countries, especially strategic partnerships with important partners for peace and prosperity.
