(VOVworld) – A ceremony to hoist flags of the 10 ASEAN countries participating in the 24^th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (24^th AARM) took place Thursday in Hanoi. Speaking at the ceremony, Major-General Nguyen Duc Than, Chief of the Military Training Department and Deputy Head of the Organizing Board, highlighted the significance of this annual tournament among ASEAN armies. He said it was a great opportunity for ASEAN armies to share their expertise and skills to boost friendship and solidarity, mutual trust and respect.

After the ceremony, participating delegations drew lots for their competition schedules, toured the shooting gallery, and discussed preparation activities for the tournament. The tournament will take place in Hanoi from November 19^th to 28^th.
