Foreign media hails US President Joe Biden’s visit to Vietnam

The article stressed the 50-year arc of progress between Vietnam and the US, from conflict to normalization, to a new elevated status that will be a force for prosperity and security in one of the most significant regions in the world.

France’s AFP News Agency reported that President Joe Biden’s visit to Vietnam supports remarkable progress in boosting diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Commenting on the first State-level visit by the US President to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, CNN stressed the US’s wish to become a more attractive and reliable partner for Vietnam and other developing countries in the world.

The New York Times reported that President Joe Biden arrived in Vietnam on a mission to forge deeper ties between the two countries. The elevation of the Vietnam‑US relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development was a significant status that the US has long sought.
