(VOVworld) – John Ellis Jeb Bush, former Florida governor has launched his official presidential campaign for the 2016 US elections. 62-year-old Jeb Bush is the son and brother of two former presidents George Walker Bush and George Herbert Walker Bush.

In a speech on Tuesday, he promised to reform the US and pledged to protect the rights of women, ethnic minority groups and people with disabilities. Bush has become the 11th candidate of the Republican to announce candidacy. His most prominent rivals are Wisconsin governor Scott Walker and Florida MP Marco Rubio.

Initial votes in the Republican Party will be conducted by early 2016 but the first debate between candidates will be held on August 6 on Fox News.
