Cameron became the UK Prime Minister on May, 2010, and was re-elected after his Conservative Party won the 2015 general election. He decided to resign as Prime Minister after failing to persuade UK voters to vote for staying in the EU in the June 23 referendum. At that time, he said he planned to remain in Parliament although he was no longer the Conservative Party leader.
