France wins 2018 World Cup final
(VOVWORLD) -France became 2018 World Cup champion for the second time after beating Croatia 4-2 in a thrilling final match in Moscow on Sunday.

The month-long tournament has ended with 32 teams playing 64 matches. Croatia’s Luka Modric won the Golden Ball as the player of the tournament. Belgium's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was given the Golden Glove title, while Kylian Mbappe won the Young Player Award. England captain Harry Kane won the Golden Boot after finishing as the World Cup's top scorer.
Earlier the same day, at a reception in the Kremlin, Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic handed Russian President Vladimir Putin a Croatian national team’s T-shirt in red and white with the number 9 and the name Putin printed on it. The next World Cup will be held in Qatar in 2022.
