(VOVworld) – Vietnam is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia, said French news website Capital.fr on the occasion of French President Francois Hollande’s recent visit to Vietnam.

The article cited statistics from the Organisation of Economic Cooperation Development (OECD) showing that Vietnam has experienced a sustainable economic growth of over 6% per year since 2014, which will be maintained in the coming years, and inflation below three percent.

The article pointed out Vietnam’s privileged geographic location on one of the world’s major trade routes and many seaports thanks to a coastline of 3,200 km, facilitating strong international trade.

Vietnam has great agricultural potential. It is already a leading global supplier of rice, seafood, and coffee, and its tourism is growing rapidly.

The article quoted journalist Dominique Baillard as saying that this year Vietnam has attracted more foreign direct investment than most of the world’s other developing countries. With a young population, Vietnam is a promising market with growing purchasing power and a plentiful supply of skilled workers.
