Fund-raising for AO victims in Vietnam

(VOV) - A concert was held in Paris on Thursday to raise funds for Agent Orange (AO) /Dioxin victims in Hanoi’s Van Canh Peace Village. Four French female artists of the Divertimento orchestra presented world classical pieces in an atmosphere full of peace and friendship.

The President of France’s Association of War Veterans and Victims (ARAC), Raphael Vahe, who is also President of the French Friendship Committee for Van Canh Peace Village said: 40 years after the signing of the Paris Peace Accords the war seems to remain there with devastating consequences of AO/Dioxin, which severely affect many generations. Van Canh Peace Village, built to shelter Vietnamese AO victims, is a place for many researchers to learn about horrible effects of the toxic chemical. As the village needs more investment in infrastructure upgrade, we call on kind-hearted help from French people.
