(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Ministers of Defense and Public Security send floral tributes to funeral service in Ho Chi Minh City honoring two pilots killed in a training exercise near Phu Quy island.

The funeral service took place in Ho Chi Minh City on 03 May 2015.

Speaking at the funeral service on Sunday, Deputy Defense Minister Nguyen Thanh Cung said the sacrifice of the two pilots set a bright example for the army and contribute to the Vietnam People’s Army glorious tradition.

Earlier, the Defense Ministry honoured the pilots as martyrs and they were promoted in recognition of their service to Vietnam. Lieutenant Colonel Le Van Nghia was promoted to senior lieutenant-colonel, while Captain Nguyen Anh Tu was raised to major.
