(VOVworld) – Germany’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier has attended a ceremony of roofing the German House, which symbolizes the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.

Speaking at the ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday, the Germany diplomat said the German House project confirms Germany’s commitment to maintaining long-term cooperation with Vietnam and support for Vietnam’s reforms within the framework of the strategic partnership between the two countries. He said the house will be a meeting place for German and Vietnamese enterprises, and an address for European Union and ASEAN business people to work together.  Le Van Khoa, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, pledged favorable conditions for German enterprises to implement cooperation projects in the city.

The same day, the German Foreign Minister met Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem and attended a Germany-Vietnam cultural exchange program.
