German police arrest 2 IS suspects

(VOVworld) – German police have arrested two Germans suspected of being members of a militant group which linked up with the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, the federal prosecutors’ office said Thursday.

Mustafa C., 26, and Sebastian B, 27, were arrested in Karlsruhe, German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Both are suspected of having received military training and doing logistical work in Syria. Sebastian B. returned to Germany in 2013 and Mustafa last September. One of them is said to be preparing large-scale terrorist attacks in Germany.
In an earlier anti-terror raid, Ismet D, 41, and Emin F, 43, were arrested for leading the “Emir of Moabit” group which is reported to have been gathering logistical and financial support for IS attacks in Syria.
