(VOVworld) - A group of young National Assembly deputies, aged below 45, made its debut during a ceremony held in Hanoi yesterday.

Speaking at the event, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan wished that the group would actively join the NA’s activities to decide on key country issues, devise laws and monitor legal enforcement.
The 14^th NA’s deputies aged below 45 account for 26.5 percent of the total, reflecting young generations’ role in the national development and voters’ trust to them, she said. She asked the group’s standing board to outline plans for the tenure and each year, hold seminars to discuss legislature’s agenda, particularly those involving young people, as well as work closely with agencies concerned to improve professional skills.
