7.5 million Guatemalans cast ballots in a general election to choose a new president, vice president, and 158 members of congress. A poll published Thursday showed that Jimmy Morales of the tiny National Convergence Front party, or FCN, might be the leading candidate, with 29.2% support. Manuel Baldizón of the Renewed Democratic Liberty party, or Lider, won 16.1%, and Sandra Torres of National Unity for Hope received 12.3%.
