Gunfight and bombings cause casualties in Pakistan

(VOVworld) – At least 5 soldiers and 15 militiamen were killed by a gunfight and 2 bombings in Pakistan, said officials on Tuesday.

Some 50 militants attacked a check-post in the Shireendara area of Orakzai District, one of seven semi-autonomous tribal regions near the Afghan border. 2 soldiers and 15 attackers were killed. A soldier was killed and a civilian injured when a roadside bomb exploded in the north-western town of Bannu.  Another bombing killed 2 security officers in Chargoo Village near the border with Afghanistan.
