(VOVWORLD) -The Ha Long Carnival, a highlight of the Ha Long – Quang Ninh tourism week 2019, opened in Bai Chay and Hon Gai tourism area in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Sunday.
The carnival began with a street parade in combination with music performances with the participation of over 400 professional and amateur artists, including dozens of foreign artists. Deputy Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee, Vu Thi Thu Thuy, has welcomed visitors to the carnival to enjoy breathtaking scenery in Ha Long and explore unique cultural and historical values of the northeastern region. The Ha Long – Quang Ninh tourism week 2019 featured various cultural, sports and tourism activities in Ha Long and Mong Cai cities, Van Don and Co To districts from now until May 25.
