(VOVworld) – A ceremony took place on Tuesday to mark the 70^th anniversary of Hanoi’s armed forces. President Tran Dai Quang urged the forces to consult municipal leaders on local defense tasks.

President Quang said: “I suggest that Hanoi mobilizes sources to develop its regular, elite, and gradually modernizing army to a high combat capability. It’s necessary to improve the quality of training, management, and consultation and enhance the links with local militias to safeguard the city’s security and order”

Marking the occasion, the Hanoi armed forces received the Military Exploit Order, first class.
