Hanoi discusses economic growth amid Covid-19 outbreak
(VOVWORLD) - Despite the Covid-19 epidemic’s impacts on tourism and trade, Hanoi sees developing opportunities in new areas, Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee said Wednesday at a conference evaluating the epidemic’s effect on Hanoi’s growth in 2020.

He said Hanoi can boost its e-commerce and take advantage of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, adding that the epidemic is a driving force for businesses to seek new markets and modernize technology.
Mr. Chung urged for measures to continue to reform administration procedures and improve Hanoi’s business environment to attract more investors. He asked each organization and sector to have short-term and long-term development plans, particularly for capital and employment.
