Hanoi plans to ban motorbikes in 12 districts by 2030

(VOVWORLD) - The Hanoi People's Committee recently approved an urban economic development plan until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

The plan includes a scheme on zoning to restrict the use of motorbikes in accordance with the infrastructure and service capacity of the public passenger transport system, towards the complete ban of motorbikes in 12 districts of Hanoi by 2030. 

These districts include Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Thanh Xuan, Bac Tu Liem, Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, Ha Dong, Tay Ho, and Nam Tu Liem. 

The plan puts forth solutions to develop urban economic sectors such as commerce, service, industry, and construction.

In addition, Hanoi will also develop new economic models such as the sharing economy, nightlife economy, digital economy, tourism economy, sports economy, and sidewalk economy.
