(VOV) - General Phung Quang Thanh - Minister of Defense and a politburo member - yesterday welcomed a delegation of war veterans from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus, in Hanoi.

The visiting veterans assisted the country during the American war. General Thanh said the visit is an opportunity for the veterans to inspect Vietnamese achievements in national construction and protection. General Thanh expressed his hope that the veterans will continue to share their experience with Vietnam’s People Army to enhance mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation.
