Ho Chi Minh City calls for allocation of 6 million vaccine doses

(VOVWORLD) -Ho Chi Minh City’s Health Department has called on the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology to allocate more than 6 million doses of vaccine for roll-out until late October so that more than 7.2 million local people of more than 18 years of age would be double-jabbed.

6.7 million people in the city have been inoculated and another 2.1 million have been fully inoculated.

Ho Chi Minh City, the country’s largest COVID-19 epicentre, targets to fully vaccinate all residents aged above 18 and use “COVID-19 green cards” to enable eligible people to resume economic activities and social interactions in certain sectors depending on their level of pandemic control effectiveness.
