(VOV) – The Court of Appeals of the People’s Supreme Court on Thursday brought Ho Duc Hoa and his accomplices to trial in Vinh city, Nghe An province, for “activities to subvert people’s administration”.

According to the accusation of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, from the beginning of 2009 to the end of 2011, Ho Duc Hoa born in 1974 in Quynh Vinh commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province, and other defendants from Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Lang Son, and Tra Vinh communicated with and were supported by the Viet Tan, an organization in the US advocating the overthrow of the people’s administration and the commission of dissident acts against Vietnam’s revolution. Earlier, Nghe An province’s People’s Court opened a pre-hearing court to indict 14 defendants on charges of trying to overthrow the People’s Government.
