Houthis claim to have killed 500 Saudi soldiers in major attack
(VOVWORLD) -Houthi rebels in Yemen say they have killed 500 Saudi soldiers, captured a further 2,000, and seized a convoy of Saudi military vehicles.
The extraordinary claims made at a press conference on Sunday involved still photographs and inconclusive videos of captured soldiers. There was no independent confirmation from Saudi Arabia.
At the press conference, Houthi rebel spokesperson Yahia Sarie said they had captured more than 2,000 Saudi soldiers but did not show any evidence for that claim.
