The next round of talks will take place in Brussels in September, India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry said Saturday. The two resumed negotiations after a gap of more than eight years on trade, investments, and Geographical Indications (GI).

The week-long negotiations were held in a hybrid mode – with some of the teams meeting in Delhi and the majority of officials joining virtually.

India's trade with the EU totaled more than 116 billion USD in the past year. The EU is India’s second largest trading partner after the US and the second largest destination for Indian exports.
