Indonesian authorities to allocate 43 million USD to assist tsunami victims

(VOVWORLD) - The Indonesian government plans to allocate over 43 million USD to assist those affected by earthquakes and tsunami that hit the country's island of Sulawesi.  

Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani revealed that the funds are expected to be allocated later in the day to enable the National Board for Disaster Management to promptly proceed with its work.

According to the finance minister, the Indonesian government is currently focused on providing rescue and relief to the affected people, while the problems relating to the infrastructure reconstruction will be addressed later.
