Workshop on international cooperation to promote the rights of the disabled (Photo: VOV)

The event was part of preparation for the submission of the first national report on Vietnam’s implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to a UN Committee.

The provincial Departments of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, centers and non-governmental organizations discussed international cooperation activities to promote the rights of persons with disabilities. Some participants asked the Ministry to mobilize further resources to support localities in community-based healthcare and rehabilitation for the disabled.
