(VOVworld) – An international press conference on Friday said the 10^th session of the 13^th National Assembly had been a success. Deputies discussed and approved 16 laws and 15 resolutions and commented on 10 draft laws.

They also approved a resolution on state budget estimates for 2016. For the first time, all cabinet members attended a National Assembly hearing. Head of the National Assembly Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said: “Deputies are concerned with how to minimize public investment to ensure financial security. There will be a 5% increase in the basic salary. National target programs have been downsized to 2 on sustainable poverty reduction and new rural development.”

Deputies also endorsed the revised Criminal Code.
