(VOVworld) – The second Mekong Resources Forum opened in Vinh Phuc province on Friday. With the theme “Investment Cooperation and Sustainable Development in the Mekong sub-region”, the forum attracted 100 representatives from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. The governments of the Mekong sub-region countries are putting special emphasis on attracting investment capital and increased economic cooperation with foreign partners. According to Vietnamese economists, Vietnam and other regional countries are attractive destinations for global business investment.

Vietnam has invested in 335 projects worth more than 7 billion USD in the Mekong sub-region. Vietnam appreciates economic cooperation with the regional countries and the government has issued preferential policies for businesses investing in Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar in the future.
