(VOVworld) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has insisted that the dismantling of its nuclear facilities was a “red line” for the Islamic Republic. President Rouhani said in an interview with The Financial Times on Friday adding that Tehran still hopes for further improvements in its relations with Washington. Rouhani said issues between Iran and the US are very complicated and can not be resolved over night.

The same day, Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA Reza Najafi said under a 6-month interim nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 group, Iran will stop its nuclear program by the end of next month or the beginning of January. The P5+1 group includes the US, France, Germany, China, Russia, and Britain.

Iran will end the 5-percent uranium enrichment within 6 months and in return the US will ease some sanctions. Besides, all issues relating to Iran’s nuclear programs will be closely supervised by the UN International Atomic Energy Agency and in the next six months, all parties involved will actively negotiate toward a final comprehensive agreement. During this period, Iran will stop the construction of a reactor in Arak and agree to let the nuclear watchdog conduct a series of additional inspection measures.

The move is seen as the first breakthrough after a decade-long effort of the international community to settle disputes over Iran’s nuclear program.
