Speaking on Press TV on Monday, Zarif said if the US makes such a move, Iran will take action adding that some measures have been thought out and will be taken at the appropriate time. Zarif’s remarks came a few days before the US president's expected announcement on his Iran strategy with measures against their nuclear tests, alleged support for terrorism, and cyber attacks. Zarif said the Trump administration has been to deprive Iran of the benefits from the nuclear deal that was reached in 2015 with the P5+1 group. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said on Monday that Tehran would give a “firm, decisive and crushing” response if the United States goes ahead with such a plan.
