The Irish government committed to providing Vietnam more than 13 million Euro for poverty reduction efforts in Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Bac Kan, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Kon Tum, and Tra Vinh provinces. The aid will be used to improve the living conditions of ethnic minority communities and extremely disadvantaged areas, and to narrow the gap between areas and ethnic minority groups.

Cole said supporting resilient poverty reduction in ethnic minority communities is Ireland’s top priority in Vietnam. The Irish government has pledged to boost Vietnam’s poverty reduction program that will benefit millions of poor people.
