Japan opens up to Vietnamese tourists

(VOVWORLD) - Japan has decided to welcome the return of Vietnamese visitors from Wednesday, according to information given by Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio.

The Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) also launched It’s Time For Japan “Okaeri” campaign, to mark the reopening of Japan to Vietnamese tourists, and to popularize the attraction of the land of the rising sun.

Yoshida Kenji, head of JNTO representative office in Vietnam, said that along with welcoming Vietnamese tourists, as of January, 2023, Japan will also implement a number of interesting activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties with Vietnam.
Nguyen Trung Khanh, chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said once Japan moves to relax travel restrictions, bilateral tourism promotion and exchanges between both sides will strongly recover.
