Japan rejects South Korea's proposal to resume humanitarian aid to North Korea
(VOVWORLD) - Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono on Tuesday said he disagrees with South Korea's intention to resume humanitarian assistance to North Korea.

He said there is no better measure than maintaining pressure on North Korea, as the Foreign Ministers Meeting in Canada last week declared.
Kono’s words followed his remarks Monday to the Japanese Government, saying that Tokyo will persist in pressuring North Korea to change its nuclear policies and release Japanese hostages.
