Japanese group presents advanced recycling technology

(VOVWORLD) - A workshop introducing Japan’s advanced waste treatment technology was held at the Saigon Innovation Hub (SIHUB) in Ho Chi Minh City by the SIHUB and Japanese Milai Group on Monday.

The technology is designed to prevent carbon dioxide emissions during transport and disposal of organic waste. It turns organic waste into electricity and fertilizers, with each unit able to handle up to 25 tons of garbage per day. The technology can be used on islands and in both rural and urban areas, cutting waste transportation costs.

The technology is being launched by Japan’s Ministry of Environment and managed by Japan’s Global Environment Centre Foundation after its effectiveness was proven by a 5-month test.
