Japan’s Rising Sun Festival opens in Ha Long Bay
(VOVWORLD) - A festival featuring Japan’s culture opens in Ha Long city from now to October 21. The festival, named “Rising Sun”, is held at Sun World Halong Complex with a range of activities such as Sumo wrestling, Taiko drum performance, Japanese tea ceremony, cuisine, dances, and folk games.
The National Culinary Festival is also being held at Sun World Halong Complex. Nguyen Hoang Duong, a tourist from Da Nang, said: “I’m glad to visit Ha Long City for the first time and watch Sumo wrestlers. I haven’t been to Japan. The Festival shows me something about the Japanese culture.”
The Festival is part of the Ha Long - Quang Ninh National Tourism Year and an event to mark the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.
