JCPOA joint commission to assess US nuclear deal exit

Under the nuclear deal signed in July 2015, Iran must limit its nuclear activities in exchange for the termination of economic and financial sanctions. Despite the Trump administration’s exit from the nuclear pact, the remaining countries say they will continue their commitment to the deal. Federica Mogherini, the European Union foreign policy chief, issued a statement last week saying that the 28-nation bloc is united in preserving the nuclear deal.
