(VOVWORLD) - Disadvantaged children and children with disabilities have been welcoming Mid-Autumn Festival nationwide.

More than 2,250 children in difficult economic situations in Kon Tum province were given gifts Tuesday night.

The same day, Dak Lak’s Youth Union, in collaboration with the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for children in Krong Nang district. Earlier a similar program was held for disabled children, orphans, and children from social centers in Buon Ma Thuot City, who received ten scholarships, 5,000 free tickets to amusement parks, and 730 gift sets.

Y Nhuan Bya, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union, said: “This is our annual activity. This year preparations, registration of organizations, and donaitons of gifts and scholarships were much greater than in previous years.”

On Tuesday, hundreds of children in difficult circumstances at social centers in Ho Chi Minh City enjoyed a festival at the municipal Children’s House.  

Bac Lieu provincial Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs Department and Hoa Binh district’s People’s Committee organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for children in 7 districts and towns.

700 children in the river basin hamlet of Ban Ve Hydroelectric Power Plant in Nghe An province enjoyed a Mid-Autumn Festival sponsored by the Nghe An Press Coalition Club.
