Pakistani and Indian troops exchanged gunfire across the disputed Kashmir border on Sunday. Each side blamed the other. One Pakistani soldier was killed, said Pakistan. Pakistan says Indian troops crossed the disputed boundary, known as the Line of Control, into Pakistani-controlled territory, but India denies this accusation. India and Pakistan both claim sovereignty over Kashmir. Since November, 2003, the two have maintained a ceasefire that is occasionally broken.
