Khmer people celebrate Sen Dolta festival

(VOVWORLD) - Religious followers and dignitaries and social beneficiaries of the Khmer group in Kien Giang province have received greetings and congratulations on the occasion of their traditional Sen Dolta festival.

Nguyen Van Phich, head of the provincial Commission for Mass Mobilization, said he hopes that Khmer people will uphold the tradition of patriotism and unity, and practice COVID-19 prevention and control measures to ensure their safety.

Venerable Danh Dong, head of Kien Giang province’s Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, said Khmer people always follow the government’s pandemic prevention guidelines and contribute to the national fight against COVID-19.

The Sen Dolta, Chol Chnam Thmay, and Ok Om Bok festivals are three major festivals of the Khmer people in southern Vietnam.
