Lang Son designs tours to explore geopark, traditional culture

(VOVWORLD) - The northern mountainous province of Lang Son is implementing a project to develop Lang Son Geopark in the 2021-2025 period.

It plans to add more spots to its four panoramic geopark tours and create tours to explore the province’s religious heritages and archaeological sites.

Lang Son is working with consultants to complete a dossier to apply for UNESCO recognition of the park as a Global Geopark. Pham Thi Huong,

“We’re working with consultants on slogans, names, and colors for the different tour routes. We’re also considering building parking areas, information boards, check-in spots, and geo paths. This year we plan to build 3 information centers, including 2 indoor display rooms and 1 outdoor mini museum,” said Deputy Head of the Management Board of Lang Son Geopark.

Lang Son is home to many ethnic groups, including the Nung, Tay, Kinh, Dao, Hoa, San Chay, and Mong. It is also well-known for many archaeological sites dating back thousands of years.
