Leaders of US, Japan, South Korea discuss North Korea

(VOVworld) US President Barack Obama will meet with South Korean President Park Geun-hye and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on the sidelines of a nuclear security summit in Washington from March 31 to April 1.

The White House says they’ll discuss joint responses to North Korea and regional security co-operation. The meeting is scheduled to Thursday, the same day as a meeting between President Obama and Chinese Premier Xi Jinping.
According to Japan’s Kyodo news agency, North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong said in an interview on March 28 that North Korea is prepared for a pre-emptive nuclear attack against the US.
