Thanh Hoa province is resolving the consequences of flash flood.

Torrential rains in Thanh Hoa over the past several days have caused landslides and blocked main roads in mountain areas. Muong Lat and Lang Chanh were the most affected communes.

Cao Van Cuong, Chairman of Muong Lat district’s People’s Committee, said functional agencies are repairing broken road sections. “The district has mobilized all machines to repair roads to ensure traffic as soon as possible. We have 6 vehicles working on 2 itineraries.”

Households in areas prone to landslide have been evacuated to safe places. Functional agencies and local military units in Thanh Hoa province have sent cars, boats, and hundreds of soldiers to help people.

In Son La province, 3 people were reported to have died and missing in floods. 130 ha of crops was inundated and many hamlets were isolated. The province has used all resources to find the missing and repair broken roads.
