(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has honored those have done outstanding work in building healthy families in Vietnam. Honorees at the meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday were 220 representatives of the most outstanding families and 58 individuals and organizations excelling in the fight against domestic violence.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai said that from now until 2015 with vision to 2020, the ministry will intensify its efforts to build healthy families so that criteria will be realized voluntarily and become a daily lifestyle of each family member. The program targets improvement in family connections and healthy behaviors. The number of families with healthy lifestyle is expected to rise to 80% by 2015 and 85% by 2020.
