Mexican President: Vietnam, Mexico help connect Asia Pacific

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Mexico are joining hands to improve relations in Asia Pacific, stated Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. 

In a post on the website of the Mexican Presidential Palace, he expressed his delight on his upcoming visit to Vietnam, calling this a great opportunity to enhance bilateral ties.

President Nieto hailed Vietnam’s achievements over the past 30 years of renewal, adding that the two countries have enormous potential for stronger cooperation. He reiterated the Mexican government’s pledges to improve trade ties with the Asia Pacific region. Mexico will join with Vietnam and other partners to soon realize the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement (TPP) to fully tap a potential market of more than 812 million consumers.

He expressed his belief that the APEC 2017 event will contribute to increasing Asia Pacific’s creativity and affirmed that efforts to boost dialogue and cooperation in this complicated global context are extremely valuable.
