Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Educations, said taking care for the health of people living on the nation’s islands is an important task in realizing the Party's strategy on sustainable development of Vietnam's maritime economy to 2030 with a vision to 2045. The goal is to turn Vietnam in to a strong maritime country with sustainable development, prosperity, security, and safety.

“We’ll build powerful, border, economic unions to confirm our sovereignty. It requires scientific research and practicality when working on content, method, format, and scientific and technological application. We have reformed, and in the future we have to further innovate to adapt flexibly so we can ensure medical care for our people and soldiers," said Nghia.

Participants delivered 40 presentations on the results of military and civilian medicine on islands and at sea which is a beneficial decision the Party and State made with the intent to strengthen all-peoples’ security and defense when protecting national territorial integrity and sovereignty.
