According to Moody's statement, Frexit is unlikely but recent world developments have proven referendums’ unexpected results. Moody’s is carrying an analysis on France’s situation and prospects after its presidential and parliamentarian elections to be held from April to June.

Candidate Marine Le Pen has repeated that if she is elected the new president, she will hold a referendum on France's withdrawal from the EU. People have shown high support for her, who engages in populism and isolationism while opposing rampant immigration and globalization, which are said to bring risks to France and the EU.
