President Tran Dai Quang said at the event that the world is changing fast and the 4^th industrial revolution has profoundly affected the global economy.

In order to maintain its strong cohesion, APEC should map out its post-2020 vision to strengthen its position and value in the global economy. “Growth will not be sustainable if it does not include economics, finance, and society; if we don’t enhance economic reform and improve creativity and competitiveness; and if we don’t pay attention to environmental protection and deal with climate change. APEC’s key to success is to place people and businesses at the center of development. We need to advocate for inclusive development and engage people in generating and enjoying a shared prosperity.”
