Chairman Hue applauded the great achievements and the good economic growth that the Lao people have achieved. He suggested that the two countries coordinate closely, implement high-level agreements seriously, and prepare well for meetings of senior leaders and the 46th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.

Thongloun Sisoulith stressed the need to create breakthroughs in economic, trade and investment cooperation and make qualitative changes, worthy of the two countries’ political relations. He called for appropriate policy mechanisms to promote trade and investment to connect the two economies.

The General Secretary and President of Laos said he hopes that Vietnam will continue to encourage its businesses to expand investment and business in Laos.

The two leaders affirmed continued close coordination and support for each other at global and regional forums, especially at the UN and ASEAN.
