National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung on Friday visited Hanoi Party Committee, authorities and people on the occasion of Lunar New year festival. Hung expressed his wish that Hanoi will continue to take the lead in all areas to build a civilized capital city. He also urges the city to improve planning, accelerate economic growth and build Hanoians’ culture. Chairman Hung said: "Hanoi is the heart of the nation and the political center, which represents national culture, heroism, peace and friendship. It should be a city of science, technology, education and training, economic development where environment is protected and people’s living standard is ensured"

Chairman Hung also asked the city’s authorities to exert maximum effort to successfully implement Resolution of 11^th National Party Congress and the city’s socio-economic targets in 2012 and contribute ideas to the amendments of 1992 Constitution.
